Skipping or softening a step

You broke the order of the method: a step taken early, a dodge accepted, or the close never made. The steps are what walk someone into their own contradiction, so a gap anywhere leaves them nothing to answer for.

Move on without a clear yes or no at step 3 and every later question is built on sand: they never face the contradiction, and the whole conversation is theirs. Nothing proceeds until step 3 is answered. The entry below leads this module because it is the single most costly slip in the method.

  • What it hands them Never faces the contradiction; gives a vague or off-topic reply and is allowed to skip the most important step.

    Step 3

  • What it hands them Shuts down immediately, gets defensive, and claims you attacked them before they understood the contradiction.

    Step 2Step 3Step 5

  • What it hands them Treats veganism as optional achievement; reduces urgency to become active.

    Step 9Step 10

  • What it hands them Uses transition language to continue exploiting while appearing open-minded.

    Step 8Step 9

  • What it hands them Uses 'I can't make you a promise right now' to seem honest while refusing commitment, common with bystanders who won't declare.

    Step 9

  • What it hands them Keeps deflecting, reframing, or changing subject because you stayed past three strikes.

    Step 1Step 3Step 7

  • What it hands them Refuses to engage feelings; stays intellectual or dismissive without committing to any stance.

    Step 1

  • What it hands them Thanks you for the info and leaves unchanged, treating veganism as future optional lifestyle.

    Step 8Step 9Step 10

  • What it hands them Feels lectured at; shuts down before owning the contradiction themselves.

    Step 3Step 5

  • What it hands them Uses uncertainty to avoid commitment indefinitely.

    Step 3Step 6Step 7

  • What it hands them Commits to trying while continuing exploitation; activist validates partial effort.

    Step 9

  • Losing Control

    Severity 3

What it hands them Takes over the conversation with counter-questions about your diet, religion, or plants.

    Step 2Step 3Step 7Step 8

  • What it hands them Quiet person nods without understanding; declaration may be fake; engaged person dominates.

    Step 9Step 10

  • What it hands them Treats veganism as optional future choice; leaves without commitment while feeling they did enough.

    Step 9

  • What it hands them Keeps changing subject without ever answering; tests whether you'll let dodges stand.

    Step 2Step 3Step 7

  • What it hands them Uses faux-honesty to avoid declaration while appearing sincere.

    Step 2Step 3Step 9

  • What it hands them Hears 'stop eating meat' and refuses on identity or diet grounds before understanding the principle.

    Step 4Step 9

  • What it hands them Claims open-mindedness while continuing exploitation indefinitely.

    Step 7Step 9

  • What it hands them Agrees veganism is about health or environment; avoids justice frame.

    Step 5

  • What it hands them Leaves as passive vegan with no accountability to speak up; movement gains nothing.

    Step 10

  • What it hands them Withholds agreement until earlier contradictions are resolved; hears diet pressure and accuses you of being pushy.

    Step 1Step 2Step 3Step 4

  • Wasting Time

    Severity 2

What it hands them Becomes more dismissive and absurd; wastes your energy on purpose while pretending to listen.
