Moving On Without Step 3 Answer
Asks step 3, bystander answers with something other than a clear yes or no (not sure, tangent about their dog, etc.), and activist moves to the next question instead of reasserting.

I hear you, but I need a clear answer: can you truly respect other animals if you use them for your purposes?
The round they fire back
Never faces the contradiction; gives a vague or off-topic reply and is allowed to skip the most important step.
How to fix it
Do not move on until they clearly acknowledge respect and exploitation cannot coexist. If they say not sure, talk about their dog, or anything except yes or no, repeat step 3. No other questions until step 3 is answered.
Coaching notes
- Pattern: you ask step 3, they say I'm not really sure or well I have a dog at home, you ask the next question anyway.
- You asked it but didn't get a clear yes or no, then went to what's stopping you or step 4.
- He didn't acknowledge exploitation isn't respectful, you moved on anyway.
- If you haven't gotten step 3, don't ask any other questions.
