Give them nothing

Ammo library

Focusing on How, Not Why

Severity 2FramingStep 1Step 3Step 4Step 6

Argues about conditions, welfare, or treatment instead of why exploitation exists. Lets them defend humane farming, backyard eggs, roadkill, and other edge cases.

The give pair

Gives ammo

The chicken should live as long as it can. Roadkill is fine because the animal already died. My rescued hens aren't factory farmed.

Gives nothing

I'm not asking whether they suffered. Can you truly respect other animals if you use them for your purposes?

The round they fire back

Says 'So humane farming is fine then?' or 'My backyard hens aren't harmed' or 'Roadkill doesn't hurt anyone.'

How to fix it

The problem is not how animals are treated. It is why we use them at all. When they raise edge cases, do not debate them. Reassert respect vs exploitation.

Coaching notes

  • How/treatment framing invites edge cases: roadkill, leftovers, rescued hens, hunting, small farms.
  • They concede factory farms are bad, then claim their version has no problem to solve.
  • Recovery: I'm not talking about how they are treated. Can you respect them if you use them for your purposes?
  • Freedom vs treated better (slavery analogy) works when treatment is the frame. Purposes/respect is still the core.
