Your own words keep animals filed under food. Say cows, pork, or farm animals and they answer about meals and taste ('I like meat'), never about someone. The category you handed them is the shield they hold.
How to fix it
Shift from food to individuals: that mother, that child, that someone. Like seeing a dead human body on your plate, personal, not abstract categories.
Coaching notes
- Highlight individuality and personality, not birds, fish, cows as groups.
- Pair with your victims language on screen.
- The flaw is letting animals exist as a category of food at all. The moment you argue inside their menu (cows, pork, meat) you have accepted the filing system; the reframe is one individual at a time.
