Ammo library
Using Diet-Framing Language
Severity 2FramingStep 1Step 4
Uses diet-framing or insulting terms that undermine the ethical principle: meat eater, omnivore, vegan journey, baby steps, animal products.
The give pair
Gives ammo
Do you eat animal products? Everyone's on their own vegan journey.
Gives nothing
We exploit them for flesh, milk, eggs, and skin. As long as you're not vegan, they are your victims.
The round they fire back
Reframes veganism as diet choice opposite to omnivore/carnivore biology debate.
How to fix it
Never say animal products, animals are not products. Name what they are: flesh, milk, eggs, skin. Say non-vegan. This is an ethical principle, not a diet journey.
Coaching notes
- Meat eater is opposite of vegetarianism, not veganism.
- Do not say vegan journey, you would not say child abuse free journey.
- Animals are not products. Say flesh, milk, eggs, skin, never animal products or products of animal exploitation.
