Define exploitation in step 1
Exploitation means using someone for your purposes. Show flesh, milk, eggs, skins. Make it about feeling and exploitation — not factory farms, suffering, or statistics.
Say agree, not believe
Ask 'Do you agree?' not 'Do you believe?' Belief triggers religion and semantics tangents. Agreement keeps the conversation on stated values.

Step 3 is exploitation, not consumption
Do not frame step 3 as eating flesh, buying products, or consumer choices. They may pay for someone else to consume, or exploit without eating, zoos, skin, entertainment. Ask if they can respect other animals while using them for their purposes.

Question 1: get a feeling
Question 1: make sure you actually get a feeling from them. Not facts, not philosophy, not what they think. If they won't say how they feel about exploitation, you have nothing to hold them to.
Question 3: clear acknowledgment (most important)
Question 3 is one of the most important steps. Do not move on until you get clear acknowledgment that respect and exploitation cannot coexist, not just asking the question, but them understanding and facing it.

Set foundation early, the conversation is about exploitation, not treatment or conditions. Freedom/slavery framing works better than welfare or slaughterhouse focus.

Always talk about feeling, never ask what they think. Think invites rambling, delay, and escape.
Exploitation = purposes only
Never define exploitation as for your benefit, against their will, for gain or pleasure, or against their interests. Benefit invites tradeoff arguments or denials, addiction, habit, knowing meat causes cancer, eating despite guilt. Will invites consent debates, no will, would consent, can't consent, or broken animals seeming to choose it (horses 'wanting' to be ridden). Gain/pleasure lets them dodge; interests lets them justify whenever they deem it 'in the animal's best interest.' Always: using someone for your purposes.

Do not open with permission-seeking, filler, or a different question. If they will not engage feeling after reassertion, that is a strike.
