Note
Deflection loop scenario (common trap)
One of the most common real outreach traps: a friendly non-vegan who sounds reasonable but will not answer how they feel about exploitation. They reframe the word, ask for neutral ground, debate your framing, and pivot to the bigger picture. Activists talk in circles and waste time. This is a perfect practice scenario to judge whether you will keep engaging or disengage after three strikes. Success = reassert the question once or twice, count deflections, plant the seed, walk away. Failure = debate dodging, extra chances, or minutes of circular talk.
Gives ammo
Six turns of reframing, common ground, and why are you dodging, never disengaging.
Gives nothing
Three deflections on feeling, one calm reassertion each time, then: It seems you are not open to this. [Walk away]
