Oppression analogies: when they work and when they don't
racism or sexism comparisons can be made but are usually less effective than victim position, because anything outside themselves is outside their self-interest. Do not equate the bystander to Holocaust or racism as your main attack. Valid analogy: in the time of slavery, should we have fought for freedom or for slaves to be treated better? That highlights why welfarism is not enough without calling them a slave owner.
