Getting Defensive or Hostile
Emotional, reactive, or insulting tone that shuts people down instead of holding accountability. This is about losing composure, not about telling the truth: a calm, deliberate moral judgment when you disengage (naming what they support as disgusting) is not this flaw.

The round they fire back
Mirrors reactive hostility, mocks your lost composure, or walks away claiming you attacked them. A calm judgment gives them nothing to mock; a flustered insult hands them the exit.
How to fix it
Stay calm and confident; never insult out of frustration. Your composure shows you take victims seriously. This does not mean softening the truth: after three strikes, or when disengaging, one controlled statement of moral fact (what you support is disgusting) can be the right close, delivered calmly as judgment, not as a loss of temper.
